The official synopsis for the new show reads: “Household names endure some of the harshest, most grueling challenges from the playbook of the actual Special Forces selection process. There are no votes, and no eliminations – just survival. These celebrities, who are so used to being in the spotlight, quickly learn the meaning of “no guts, no glory” – and no glam.”

A star-studded cast of 18 contestants has already been selected, from all kinds of backgrounds. From former athletes and civil servants to singers, actors and other media personalities, the list of participants makes for very interesting reading.

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore, former rapper and singer Montell Jordan, as well as English novelist and screenwriter Mark Billingham are among those who are not quite at the level to compete in net worth terms with the rest of the cast members.
