Kris Jenner has done well for herself over the years by being a "momager" given that she is creeping toward a $200 million net worth.

"The key issue between Caitlyn and Kris is baggage," the insider explained. "As much as Bruce was hard to handle, Caitlyn seems to be even more of a loose cannon and it's mostly because Caitlyn is her true self and there isn't much of the [person] that Kris knew and loved anymore within Caitlyn."

Kris Actively Avoids Caitlyn At Family Functions

"Kris is still trying to deal with the transition," the source went on, explaining that Kris feels Caitlyn is no longer the person she once knew. "It is as if [Bruce] is dead, and she already has one dead husband to deal with and all those emotions, it is easier to separate from it than to meet it head-on," the insider went on.

"Caitlyn is a completely different person. Their kids are also older and are now adults, so they don't really have to talk to each other anymore,” they added.

Kris was married to Caitlyn (formerly known as Bruce Jenner) from 1991 to 2015, when their divorce was finalized, though they’d been separated for a few years until then. 2015 was also the year Caitlyn announced her transition and documented the journey very publicly.

The same source told OK! Magazine that it’s not hard for Kris to avoid her ex, since they don’t run into each other at family functions. "Everyone has their own lives and is doing their own thing, so it's rare that everyone gets together or talks, it is just more of a hassle than anything else," they explained.

Caitlyn Intensified Her Kardashian Feud With A New Interview

Caitlyn has been on the outs with many of the Kardashian-Jenner family members after she made comments about Kris’ reaction to her transition.

Though Kris says she only learned of Caitlyn’s transition during her televised Dianne Sawyer interview, Caitlyn has claimed Kris knew of her desires to transition for years. Cait says it also factored into their divorce, explaining the reason was “20% gender and 80% the way I was treated.”

Since then, Caitlyn has allegedly been feuding with the Kardashians for years, with one of the most recent updates being Cait calling her former stepdaughter Kim Kardashian “calculated” in her interview for the new documentary House of Kardashians.

Caitlyn later clarified her comments, saying she didn’t intend for them to be negative. She also referred to herself as “proud” of her step-children in a promo for the documentary, despite admitting they no longer has as close a relationship as they once did. “I am incredibly proud of all my children and stepchildren,” Caitlyn said.

“I was happy to participate in the interview process to share my side which points to the strength, influence, and prowess my family has in captivating the world’s attention and keeping it over the years,” she said, defending her decision to participate in the doc.

Given that Kris still appears to be struggling with Caitlyn and the Olympian’s recent interview comments, it doesn’t seem that Cait is going to get back into the Kardashian family’s good graces anytime soon.
