Natalie Portman Had Harsh Words For Jared Kushner During Her Interview With Stephen Colbert

We turn back the clock to five years ago for this Late Show interview. Natalie Portman was appearing alongside Stephen Colbert for the first time, and both the guest and host were excited about the chat. Things got off to a promising start.

However, it would appear as though things took a shift after Colbert mentions that named Jared Kushner. Colbert asks, "Can I ask you something about Kushner at Harvard? Do you have memories of him? Were you guys friends? Did you hang out?"

Credit to Colbert for asking permission to discuss Kushner. Portman had no problem whatsoever, and was completely honest with her assessment.

Portman says, "We were friendly." Portman then stumbles when she's asked if he was a good student, to which she clearly says he wasn't. When Colbert asks to elaborate, Portman answers, "What can I say on TV? Um. There's not a lot to say that's funny about someone who became a super villain. It's not funny. He said in some interview about the friends he's lost, it's like exfoliating. I was like, okay, I like the spa metafors."

"You're a dead skin cell," Colbert replies. "Proudly," Portman says which receives a big applause from the audience. The moment is definitely worth taking a look back on.

Natalie Portman Has Also Called Out Donald Trump In The Past

It should not come as a surprise, but Portman has also called out Trump in the past. It took place on one occasion during a moving speech at an L.A. Women's March.

Natalie said, "We need to take inspiration from nature, and remember that we hold the mystery of life, and the seed of every possibility within our bodies," Portman said. "We need to demand freedom from fear over our bodies and control over our own bodies."

"In order to effectively do so, we must seek leadership positions, and support other women who do the same. Until we make it normal to have at least half, if not more, of our leaders be female, we will be serving, and with our taxes financing, a government that believes it's within their domain to make decisions for our future," she continued.

Portman had some inspiring words, feeling as though it could lead to a women's revolution of sorts at the time of Trump's run in power.
